New Silk Road Project We held a celebration commemorating the completion of the Yamaga factory.

　IItochu fashion system co.,ltd. is doing silk development by Atsumaru Holdings co.,ltd where corporations are collected (location: Kumamoto-shi and a CEO: Mr.Toshiro Shimada) and the cultivation of the market business which made the brand a starting point.
　The world's only Year-round Aseptic Sericulture Factory "New Silk Road Project Yamaga Plant (NSP Yamaga Plant)" completed in Yamaga City on April 27, 2017 was decided to be fully operational on the last day of May.
　A celebration commemorating this was held on May 15, 2017, in Kumamoto city, Kumamoto prefecture.

The world's only Year-round Aseptic Sericulture Factory NSP Yamaga Factory

　On May 15, 2017 (Monday), there were more than 650 visitors from inside and outside Kumamoto prefecture including Mr. Ikuo Kabashima of Governor of Kumamoto Prefecture.

At the celebration, Ms Sputniko! , a modern artist, Associate Professor at the MIT Media Lab, presided over by the Design and Fiction Laboratory And Mr. Hideki Sezutsu , Unit chief of the Agricultural Research Institute Biological Function Research Institute and the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Frontier Sciences Graduate School of Frontier Sciences Visiting Professor who is a leading expert on genetically modified silk made a talk session titled "Future Silk and the Future of Silk".
　Mr. Sezutsu will introduce the type of new silk, including its genetic modification and its use, the possibility of future development, attracting attention in recent years, attending the possibility of future silk at the celebration everyone who got it talked.
　And, Sputniko!, in the work of "Trans Flora, Amy 's Shining Silk" (2015 GUCCI Gallery) and "The Silkworm Tying the Red Thread of Fate - Tamaki no Koi" (Setouchi International Art Festival 2016 Permanent Facility Toshima Yaoyorozu Lab) presenting new uses and possibilities with art as a part, and told about one direction to invite more silk to a hopeful future.
